About:

I am a designer, illustrator and educator…

I have always loved to draw.   After starting my studies in engineering, I stumbled across industrial design while in my 3rd year of college. I heard about CCS and decided to take a summer class. On the first day we were asked to talk about why we enrolled. The classmate before me said she was in advertising at the same University I was at for Engineering and had just recently switched majors to ID. Our instructor said he didn’t know about Advertising but the ID program was terrible and on and on. When he finished I stood up and said I was enrolled in that ID program. He looked at me without flinching and said …”get out and come here”…I did.

I transferred to Detroit’s, College for Creative Studies graduated and moved to Ohio with the product consultancy Fitch Richardson Smith and back to Michigan with the automotive supplier Prince Corp., later to become Johnson Controls.  One more move to Magna automotive before becoming a freelance consultant.

Today, I focus on visual storytelling.  An element,  I feel, can be overlooked at times. If you have ever sat in a two hour meeting, that talks about everything except why a person may need the product or service, you know what I mean.

I have always loved to draw, it is how I think, process information, connect ideas, and communicate to the world. It is emotional and purposeful to me.  If you are looking for experience, a good listener, teambuilder, collaborator, visual communicator....I am all ears...”have pen, will Zoom”
